Worship happens in many ways and at many times at St. John’s.  We believe in the diversity of worship should reflect the diversity of the congregation.  This is just one of the many ways we embrace difference!

Sunday Morning Traditional Worship

Please join us at 10:30am for exceptional music, thought provoking sermons and meaningful prayer.    Worship is livestreamed to YouTube. You do not need an account to watch, but if you want to drop comments it’s pretty easy to set up a YouTube account or simply use your google account.

For those with hearing challenges, we have Phonak Assistive Listening Devices available in our worship space.  Speak to the greeter at the main door for information.

Taizé Prayer

Taizé Prayer is a participatory worship experience filled with song, scripture, meditation and prayer.  Traditional Taizé songs accompany a wind and strings ensemble to set the tone.  Silent meditation lasts 15 minutes. Please join us the first & third Sundays of the month at 7:00pm.

Thursday Morning Contemplative Worship

Seasonally, Contemplative Worship offers a 30 minute simple worship service.  Candle lighting, prayer, poetry and the best YouTube has to offer for contemplative music set the tone before 10 minutes of silence.  Most worshipers tend to stick around for a check-in afterwards, always ending by 9am.  This worship always happens by zoom.  Please join us most Thursdays at 8am.

Special Worship Services

Numerous times throughout the year, we celebrate Christian traditions on days that other than Sunday.  Often we share these worship services with other churches, sometimes ecumenically and sometimes with other United Churches.
