Implementation Team

Moving a church is no easy task.  Luckily, we have lots of experience moving over the last 225 years!  To facilitate this move, the Official Board has pulled together an Implementation Team with three distinct Working Groups: Space, Logistics, & Partnerships.

The Implementation Team

The purpose of the Implementation Team is to guide the Official Board and Congregation of St. John’s United Church in the transition to the Stanley Street location through clear communication between and for the three working groups.

Space Working Group

The purpose of the Space Working Group is to consult and make decisions for the Board and Congregation of St. John’s United Church for the indoor & outdoor space design of the Stanley Street location. This includes oversight of the design process and problem solving.

Logistics Working Group

The purpose of the Relocation and Logistics Working Group is to outline the necessary steps for the relocation of St. John’s United Church from the Maritime Conservatory to the Stanley Street property and implement the plan with oversight of both hired workers and volunteers for the packing and unpacking.

Partnerships Working Group

The purpose of the Partnerships Working Group is to reach out or consult for the Board and Congregation of St. John’s United Church potential partners. This includes contract negotiations when necessary.
