Rev. Annika Sangster

Annika Sangster, Spiritual Growth & Outreach Minister

(Pronouns: She/Her)

I grew up where many Sangsters grew up: in a small fishing village far up on the Eastern Shores of Guysborough County.  After attending Mount Allison University, I took courses at AST, but ultimately decided to pursue diaconal ministry at the Centre for Christian Studies.  Throughout my studies, I worked as a student minister.  In 2007, I married my “person”, Bobby Pace.

In 2009, I graduated from the Centre, but I will always be a lover of learning, and have continued to take courses covering a wide range of topics: Godly Play, yoga, art therapy,  grief support groups, social enterprise, binding arbitration, interim ministry, professional ethics and boundaries, just to name a few.

In 2019, I celebrated fifteen years in paid accountable ministry, (ten in ordered ministry) and began a journey of a different sort: parenthood.  Although Bobby and I have been parents to two fur babies for a number of years, parenting human children is a whole new adventure!

In my spare time, I enjoy creative pursuits:  knitting, crocheting, baking, plasticine, and being outside geocaching, biking or camping.  I enjoy being in program ministry and online ministry.
